So, if you do not want to share your personal information with other users, you don\u2019t have to. We want to be sure that you are happy with the entire experience on our platform, so if you want to keep your identity as a supporter\/donor hidden, we make this possible. This means you can make an anonymous donation. In that case, there is no name attributed to your donation.<\/span><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h2>The Goal of Data Processing<\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We collect personal data on you as a user of our platform in order to offer a safe, optimal, and user-friendly experience. If you use social media buttons on our platform, for example, to share a funding page, then please read the privacy statement of the social network\u2019s button you use.<\/span><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h2>Security Measures<\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To protect your personal data, we take appropriate security measures. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">That is why we use a secure internet environment as soon as you start the payment of your donation. Through SSL (Secure Socket Layer), transactional data is encrypted before it is sent via the Internet. You can recognize the safe SSL connection by the https:\/\/ in the address in your address bar.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The hosting of our platform is executed by our reliable partner, Google. We use their data centre in Belgium. That means that the servers where the data is stored are inside the European Economic Area (EEA). This information is collected and analyzed to improve the user-friendliness of the WhyDonate platform and to improve WhyDonate\u2019s marketing activities. The information is stored by Google in the United States. To ensure safe processing, a data processing agreement is concluded with Google. Furthermore, Google is not allowed to use the processed data for other services.
