Include the email address you used to set up the donation. That is what the team searches on, and without it they cannot find your donation.

Can I stop it myself?
Not yet. There is no self-service cancellation for donors, and no link in the thank-you email that ends a recurring donation. Contacting support is currently the only route.
If you are the organizer rather than the donor, you can stop a recurring donation yourself from your donations overview.
What happens next
Support confirms once the recurring donation is closed. No further payments are taken after that. Donations already made are not refunded by stopping the series — if you need one of those looked at, say so in the same message.
