Your donation is processed by Stripe, our payment provider, and goes straight to the organizer's own Stripe balance. WhyDonate never holds the money, and it is kept separate from WhyDonate's own money.
Stripe pays the donations out to the organizer's bank account. Before it does, Stripe has to verify who the organizer is and which bank account the money goes to, because payment regulations require it. See how that verification works.
