Every donation is processed by Stripe, a licensed payment provider, and goes straight to the organizer's own Stripe balance. WhyDonate never holds the money: donations are kept separate from WhyDonate's own money from the moment they are made.
From that balance, Stripe pays the donations out to the organizer's bank account, on the payout schedule the organizer chooses or straight away when they ask for it. Before the first payout, Stripe verifies who the organizer is and which bank account the money goes to.
